AntFarm YouthHubs play a vital role in our organization, providing essential support to all youth ages 10 and up. Being in rural areas, it’s especially important for us to empower our youth to live healthy and meaningful lives by offering programs that inspire growth and development.

The saying "it takes a village" rings especially true for us. We believe in the power of community support, collaborating with other local resources to encourage and uplift our youth. By working together, we can offer the tools and resources needed to help each young person succeed.

Arts and Crafts:
We strive to provide arts and craft events to youth on a regular basis. This is always offered for free to youth in our communities. We encourage fostering that creative environment and having youth gather together to enhance their creative and expressive side. Cultural arts events are also a part of this program. Youth can display their art, participate in poetry slams, music events and other activities that promote creativity, expression and community. Visit our cultural arts page for more info.

Game Nights:
An exciting and energetic gathering where youth can come together to enjoy a variety of fun games and activities in a lively atmosphere. It's not just about playing games—it’s a full social experience designed to bring friends together and make new connections.

Homework Club:
AntFarm provides a homework club once a week at our locations to provide supportive environment to study and complete their homework along side our case managers. This is especially valuable for students who may not have a conducive environment for studying at home or who need extra support with their coursework.

YouthVoice Council:
A group of young people who come together to represent the interests, ideas, and concerns of their peers in a community, school, or organization. These councils aim to empower youth by giving them a platform to voice their opinions and influence decision-making processes.

Outdoor Adventure:
Outdoor adventure programs offer experiences that encourage people to engage with nature and participate in various recreational activities, often in natural settings like forests, mountains, rivers, or coastlines. These programs cater to all ages, are free, and can include a wide range of activities such as: hiking and backpacking, mountain biking, outdoor survival skills, and team-building activities.
Outdoor adventure programs aim to foster a connection with nature, promote physical health, and develop resilience, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Mechanics Class:
A hands-on educational program that teaches the fundamentals of vehicle maintenance and repair. It provides students with practical skills and knowledge about how engines, transmissions, brakes, and other car components work, along with troubleshooting techniques and repair methods. Many times youth will bring in their own vehicles to work on!

Youth Garden:
AntFarm Youth Gardens strengthen and teach youth through service learning, recognition of food instability, active work and movement, and skills development. Youth learn valuable work, life and social skills while reinforcing awareness of civic responsibility. Youth and community members participate in planting, growing, and harvesting food. Every year, our youth gardens produce a multitude of healthy, fresh vegetables which are distributed through direct giving to community members in need and local food banks. Nuevo Futuro is a grassroots program for Latinx and Hispanic people addressing barriers of language, resource access, and lack of opportunity, while supporting cultural integration.

By fostering a strong, positive direction, we open the door to new possibilities and empower individuals to overcome barriers and thrive. Through collaboration, shared understanding, and clear communication, we aim to help our community succeed.
The Latinx culture is rooted in a rich history of family values and hard work. At Nuevo Futuro, we celebrate and support these traditions by empowering Latinx and Hispanic individuals to utilize their talents and skills to make a difference where barriers once stood. Our goal is to serve as role models and supporters, ensuring these talents are recognized and nurtured.

Our Approach-Nuevo Futuro is committed to addressing communication challenges and providing the support needed to navigate the barriers that families may face. We aim to identify obstacles and provide solutions through skill-building and resource access.

Our Program Offers- Nuevo Futuro serves Latinx and Hispanic individuals in Clackamas County, addressing language barriers, limited access to resources, and a lack of opportunities. Our program provides support in finding essential resources, educational classes and workshops covering topics such as:

  • active parenting
  • suicide prevention
  • tobacco/vaping, alcohol use
  • credit management
  • HIV education
  • food security

Cultural Events- Traditional celebrations and events that engage the whole family that are free and open to the community.

AntFarm Youth Services Housing Program was established during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide essential rent support for vulnerable youth and families in Clackamas County. Recognizing the urgent need for stable housing, the program aimed to address the rising homelessness and housing instability among youth and families in the area. As the program evolved, it highlighted the lack of comprehensive housing solutions in rural parts of the county, prompting discussions about the necessity for expanded housing initiatives and support services tailored to the unique challenges faced by these communities.
