Shannon Grandy

Outdoor Programs Manager

“I have lived in Sandy most of my life. I grew up in Welches, moved away for college and work, and returned because Sandy will always be my place. As a kid, I saw how much youth needed safe spaces to hang out, work, or explore interests. That was missing until AntFarm, and I am grateful to help build that for the next generation.”

Shannon leads the YouthCore crews, CommunityConnect efforts, our Woodlot, and Planet365 program. Her team offers employment and skill-building for youth while supporting older and disabled community members through hands-on service. Before AntFarm, she worked in a funeral home and served Portland Public Schools as a Therapeutic Intervention Coach.

A proud moment was sending a CommunityConnect crew to clear an overgrown yard for an elderly resident, which showed the heart of the program. Outside of work, Shannon spends time with her six-year-old son, family and friends, and enjoys cooking, the outdoors, and kicking back with an occasional reality TV session.

“Do not ruin a good today by thinking about a bad yesterday. Let it go.”
