Kim Wheeler

Executive Director

“I have lived and worked in the Sandy area since 1983, and I’ve always had a heart for this community. As a mother of five and grandmother of two, I have a deep appreciation for our youth and the importance of community support and guidance. AntFarm has been a meaningful part of my life since its earliest days, when it was just a vision and an empty building.”

Kim began her journey with AntFarm in 2010 as a volunteer. And later served on the Board of Directors. She witnessed the organization transform into a powerful force for good that supports both youth and elders. Over the years, she has helped guide AntFarm’s growth while centering youth empowerment and community care.

In 2024, Kim stepped into the role of Director of Youth and Family Services to take on a more hands-on leadership position and later rose to Executive Director in Summer 2025. Her deep community roots, passion for youth, and long-standing connection to AntFarm position her to carry forward the mission, vision, and culture set in motion by the founders.

Kim is proud of how AntFarm has created a home for youth and families while building trust in the wider community. She sees her role as stewarding that legacy while adapting to meet new challenges. When she is not dedicating her time to AntFarm, she enjoys camping, gardening, and spending time at the beach. She lives on her family’s homestead in Boring, where they raise beef cattle and embrace the simplicity of country life.
