Outdoor Lead

The AntFarm Outdoor Lead engages, supports, and teaches youth good work ethic and skills while performing our Outdoor Services in our YouthCore and CommunityConnect programs. Our outdoor work includes landscaping, trail clearing, tree/shrub trimming, spreading gravel and mulch, window cleaning, splitting wood, and so much more. Serving our community members, supporting service-learning youth, and developing our workforce are the most important tasks. Lead should have an active driver's license, as Lead is required to drive youth and equipment to and from job sites.  Experience driving, backing, and parking a large vehicle preferred. Experience towing and backing a trailer is preferred.

Qualifications:

Outdoor Work Experience:

  • Experience in landscaping, trail clearing, tree trimming, and other outdoor services.
  • Comfort with various outdoor tasks in different weather conditions.
  • Familiarity with outdoor tools and machinery.

Leadership Skills:

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate youth, teaching job skills and work ethic.

Driver’s License & Driving Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license and experience with large vehicles, including towing trailers.
  • Comfort and experience towing trailers and transporting equipment and youth to and from job sites.

Reports to: Outdoor Services Manager
Classification: Non-exempt
Pay: $20-24/hour depending on experience
Schedule: 30-40 hours weekly
