Youth Services Assistant

(Temporary – Molalla YouthHub)

The Youth Services Assistant supports daily operations at the Molalla YouthHub during a temporary staffing gap. This position helps create a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment by assisting the Youth Services Specialist, District Manager, and other program staff with activities, youth engagement, and site operations. The role focuses on on-site youth support helping youth complete welcome packets, applications, forms, and other tasks. The assistant also helps keep the facility clean and organized, reports concerns to on-site staff, and offers light administrative support. This temporary position is part time at 25 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 1pm–6pm, running through January with potential to extend based on funding and site needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with youth or in a community, recreation, school, or social-service setting preferred.
  • Ability to build positive, respectful relationships with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to stay calm and supportive during challenging moments.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to follow through on tasks and instructions.
  • Comfortable assisting with activities, paperwork, mentoring, and general site operations.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and uphold YouthHub expectations.
  • Entry-level computer skills, including email and document processes such as scanning and uploading.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20–25 pounds, move supplies, and support light setup and cleanup tasks.
  • Must pass a background check in accordance with organizational requirements.

Reports to: District Manager
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt
Pay: $16–$20 per hour*
Schedule: Part time, 25 hours per week. Tuesday through Saturday, 1pm–6pm
Location: Molalla
Temporary position through January, with potential to extend based on available funding and site needs
