Live-In Housing Life Skills Coach

The Live-In Housing Life Skills Coach plays a vital role in supporting youth and adults in transitional or supportive housing programs. By residing on-site at one of our Sandy or Molalla houses, the Coach provides a stable, consistent presence while mentoring residents working toward stability, independence, and long-term housing. This role combines hands-on coaching in daily living skills, emotional support, and accountability while modeling healthy behaviors and reinforcing community expectations. The Coach works in partnership with Housing Services team to help residents develop and achieve personal goals, while ensuring the home remains a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience working or volunteering in housing, youth development, or social services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional boundaries in a shared living environment.
  • Ability to support individuals from diverse backgrounds with empathy and consistency.
  • Comfortable living on-site and supporting residents during off-hours.
  • Skills in conflict resolution and basic crisis management.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently within program guidelines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
  • Bilingual/bicultural candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a live-in position requiring residence at Alpine House. Shifts will include a mix of daytime, evening, and overnight responsibilities. Housing and utilities are provided as part of the compensation package.

Reports to: Housing Services Supervisor
Classification: Non-exempt
Pay: Starting at $18/hour; plus housing accommodations and utilities
Schedule: Full-Time, daytime hours working with Housing Services staff & evening, weekend, and some overnight hours supporting residents and other clients
Location: On-Site Residential position; Coaches live at an AntFarm house in Sandy or Molalla
