Cook (Hybrid Role - Cook, Food Prep, Barista)

The Cook-Barista supports AntFarm’s mission by ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, excellent customer engagement, and a clean, organized café environment. This hybrid role includes both front-of-house (Barista) and back-of-house (Cook) responsibilities depending on the day of the week or operational needs. The Cook-Barista also acts as a resource navigator—helping connect customers to AntFarm programs and services—and plays a key role in maintaining smooth and safe café operations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cooking experience in a commercial or high-volume setting.
  • Ability to adapt between kitchen and front-of-house roles.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English highly beneficial.

Reporting to: Café and Bakery Manager
Classification: Non-exempt
Schedule: Full-time (30 hours/week)
Cook duties: Sundays 8am-4pm
Barista duties: Mon, Tues & Wed 6:30am-2:30pm (with flexibility to support kitchen as needed)
Pay: $16-19/hour depending on experience, plus tips (tips average $4-5/hour)
